Buying and Selling Websites Market Update Oct. 29 – Nov. 4, 2010

Our weekly update this week includes a site that sold for nearly $100,000.

I’m not sure I’m buying that NewEggCode.com sold for 1 month multiple of profit and that it was doing $9,000 in profit after just 4-5 months online.  I’m not saying that a site can’t make that kind of money that quickly.  However, based on the look of the site I really can’t believe it is doing that kind of net profit that quickly.

Whoever bought HealthRuns.com got a good deal at 8.4 multiple.  With good traffic and a site that’s been around for at least a year it looks like the buying made a good choice.

I don’t think I’m buying NewEggCode.com either. Apart from the said site, everything else looks pretty amazing and commendable.

I checked out Flippa and you guys did an amazing job on this. Not only that you summarized it but you actually filtered it as well. I’ve seen sites sold at a price I don’t think the site deserves. I’m thinking, that single bidder/buyer know something we don’t. Or perhaps he could also be the seller’s dummy. What do you think? Just thinking. Thanks.

For a website established just two months ago, FansBuilder.com made a good deal. Not to mention its pretty impressive profit with respect to its age.
