Need a little guidance! Steps to flip...
  • Hi Flippers,

I am new here and wanted to get some opinions before
    I start working...

Before I joined this course I purchased 20 autoblogs.
Each blog in total cost me $65 plus domain
    Purchase. (i know! I'm a newbie)

I understand that this is NOT the strategy I want
To go down, I personally rather go quality and
Build a site to the $5000 range before sale.
I completely agree that new autoBlog type sites
    Have such little value now.

Anyways, before I can reinvest into 1 (more established)
Property I need to unload this portfolio of sites

Here are examples of the 20 sites:

    TheBestWaterProofCameras.com
    WhatisSpice.com
    MacBookprobags.com

I want to know what you think I should do to build
their value to $300-$500 range or Possibly $50-$100/mo
    Revenue?

Specifically, on site changes or suggestions?

I will be outsourcing my article marketing
And SEO, but other than that can I get some specific
Suggestions to get these sites to hit the goal?

Here is my current plan: (90 days)
    - add 50+ pgs content to each site
    - article marketing w/ UAW
    - BuildMyRank PR linking
    - remove wp-robot??
    - change theme??

Good to be here with other flippers! Can't wait
Till I develop and unload these sites so I can
Reinvest or build more established style site.

What is taught here sounds much better!

  • I moved this post out of the success stories and into the main forum.

Are all the domains exact match domains for a specific keyword? If so, you'll want to look at the exact match search volume and cpc of those keywords. You'll want to start your efforts on the ones that have the most volume and highest cpc.

Let me know on that, and I'll follow up with some additional info.

    Hi Chris,

I went ahead and listed all the websites I own and posted the CPC / exact search volume for each.

I am willing to do whatever with these sites (develop, seo, change onsite features, immediately sell, change themes, DUMP etc)

    1. I am really lost on what type of strategy to move forward with these particular sites?

    2. What would be a good "standard" for
exact search / CPC if I wanted to target $5k+ sites / develop $5k+ sites??

Can't wait to hear your input! Also, I am hiring two outsourcer's shortly so I will have their resources to execute any SEO/site recommendations...

Website Domain / exact Search / "phrase" search /CPC
*All the domains and sites were established early May, 2011

    Copdguidlines.net / 36 / 73 / $0.00

    Rockfordfosgateamps.net / 2,400 / 2900 / $1.06

    Hortoncrossbowreviews.com / 320 / 320 / $1.74

    Cartierwatchesonsale.com / 58 / 91 / $4.76

    TheBestWaterProofCameras.com / 170 / 260 / $2.45

    MacBookProBags.com / 91 / 110 / $1.31

    HowToOverComeAnxiety.com / 46 / 58 / $0.00

    cheaptobaccopipes.net / 590 / 880 / $1.16

    website-investments.com / 16 / 36 / $0.00

    seniorexercises.net / 590 / 880 / $2.29

    howtostopadogfromdigging.net / 1,300 / 1900 / $1.52

    dogshockcollarwithremote.net / 1,000 / 1300 / $4.48

    herbgardeningbeginners.com / 260 / 320 / $1.15

    whatisspice.com / 3600 / 6600 / $3.04

    1800caloriediabeticdiet.org / 1000 / 1900 / $2.28

    howtoconceiveboy.net / 170 / 390 / $3.26

    yeastinfectionsduringpregnancy.com / 390 / 880 / $0.00

    pregnancysymptomsbeforemissedperiod.org / 12,100 / 18100 / $2.95

    abdoertwistreviews.net / 4,400 / 4400 / $1.53

    mealreplacementshakesweightloss.net / 260 / 480 / $3.84

    oxfordshoesforwomen.com / 880 / 1900 / $2.21
  • 1.) I'd start with getting quality content written for the sites. Here's how I might start and how I might monetize:
    pregnancysymptomsbeforemissedperiod.org (adsense)
howtostopadogfromdigging.net (create your own ebook or promote someone elses ebook)
    dogshockcollarwithremote.net (adsense and/or amazon)
    oxfordshoesforwomen.com (adsense and/or amazon)
    cheaptobaccopipes.net (adsense and/or amazon)
    1800caloriediabeticdiet.org (adsense)
    seniorexercises.net (adsense)

These ones could be good but likely have concerns about trademarks.
    abdoertwistreviews.net (amazon and/or affiliate)
    Rockfordfosgateamps.net (amazon and/or affiliate)

2.) I wish there were an exact formula but you just never know until you start getting traffic. If I had to guess at a formula, it might look something like this for an adsense site:
    (Exact match search volume X 0.3 X CPC X 0.25 X 0.10) must be greater than $300.

This assumes you can get to position 1 for the exact match term (getting 30% of the searches as traffic) and you can get your average CPC on adsense to 25% of the keyword's CPC and a 10% CTR on the site. An adsense site making $300/month should probably sell for around $5,000.

Let me know if that helps.
  • Hi Chris,

Thanks so much for the info. I will get started adding content to each of those sites and
Starting seo tactics. I will keep you posted with the progress.

As for the rest of the sites... :(
Think I should just dump them for whatever I can get and move on?

    Thanks again,
    Mike
  • Oops. I edited the post above. Should have been.

    (Exact match search volume X 0.3 X CPC X 0.25 X 0.10) must be greater than $300.

That's totally up to you. Like I said above, you never know until you see traffic from a site.
  • You can also unload some of the sites that are doing so well as a package on flippa I see this done all the time and sell them as is. Of course I would try to focus on the sites that are doinf the best first. I would follow what Chris says and gether all you stats and get to using that voucher for flippa to get you started my friend.
